Templates are multimedia tools that MPLTL peer leaders or students create with the support of project leaders. Thus far, some exist as videos while others have been developed in written form. The templates are designed to make course concepts, procedures, or formulas easier to understand, remember, and apply. Templates might be instructional, used by the peer leaders to present or explain a concept. On the other hand, templates might be strategic, created by students to help them study a course sequence they already understand but want to commit to long-term memory.

Each template created by an MPLTL peer leader intentionally reflects at least one Principle of Universal Design for Instruction© (UDI). UDI anticipates diversity amongst learners and guides instructors with nine key principles they can draw upon to make their instruction (or assessment) as proactively accessible as possible. Each template designed by an MPLTL peer leader includes a brief explanation of the tool's use and the UDI Principles that guided its creation.

This website archives the templates created during the MPLTL project. We hope your access to these tools can enhance your experiences in STEM courses.
